Put some boogie in your playlist and feed the community.
June IND’s September streams are for Food Finders.
Each month through July 2021, all revenue from June IND’s music streams and sales will be given to a Greater Lafayette area organization addressing issues related to arts access, diversity, education, the environment, equality, homelessness, human rights, hunger, or social justice. Beneficiaries will be identified by causes linked to various awareness months throughout the year.
Aligning with National Hunger Awareness Month, the #philanthrocky beneficiary for September 2020 is Food Finders Food Bank. Food Finders collaborates with other organizations to provide food for people in need and to educate, advocate, and address food insecurity in North Central Indiana. Two shots of optimism are most welcome today, especially from Lafayette rock duo June IND. The band consisting of decades-long friends and collaborators Chris June and Emily Larimer recently released “First Annual Meeting of Optimists Vols. 1 and 2,” two EPs recorded at a time when you could do that without trepidation. Under the guidance of Dan Precision (Rise Against, 88 Fingers Louie, The Mound Builders) at The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio in Chicago, June IND’s newest batch of anthemic tunes explode with captivating hooks and tightly harmonized vocals. June IND to donate sales and streams to Food Finders Food Bank for National Hunger Awareness Month
Between spending more time with their growing families, heavier day job workloads and COVID-19 evasion efforts, June IND bandmates Chris June and Emily Larimer have watched their weekend warrior status diminish to zero (for now). After releasing two new EP’s over the last year and watching them collect dust, the Lafayette rock duo launched the #philanthrocky initiative in August to support Greater Lafayette area non-profits and make their music work for the community.
