Pride Lafayette, Inc. and the Pride Lafayette Community Center serve the LGBTQ+ community of Tippecanoe County, Indiana and surrounding areas by facilitating and coordinating programs and activities such as diversity education, health initiatives, community mobilization, cultural enhancement and research. The band consisting of decades-long friends and collaborators Chris June and Emily Larimer recently released “First Annual Meeting of Optimists Vols. 1 and 2,” two EPs recorded at a time when you could do that without trepidation, and single “Come to Hand” in times of concern. Under the guidance of Dan Precision (Rise Against, 88 Fingers Louie, The Mound Builders) at The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio in Chicago, June IND’s anthemic tunes explode with captivating hooks and tightly harmonized vocals. About #philanthrocky music for a cause

Rock duo June IND launched the #philanthrocky music for a cause initiative in August 2020 to support Greater Lafayette, Indiana area organizations and make their music work for the community. Each month through July 2022, all revenue from June IND’s music streams and sales will be given to a Greater Lafayette area organization addressing issues related to arts access, diversity, education, the environment, equality, homelessness, human rights, hunger or social justice. Based in Lafayette: ‘No Words’ for new June IND tracks

Lafayette-based band June IND took a new approach on its latest album, recording songs from the past decade as fresh instrumentals. “There Are No Words” – titled appropriately enough – came out Friday on the streaming sites, with proceeds from sales through Bandcamp going to Pride Lafayette through June.

On the first Friday of every month from March 2020 through December 2021 (and then some more in 2022), Bandcamp waived its revenue share to support artists. June IND passed the value on to Greater Lafayette area organizations addressing issues related to arts access, diversity, education, the environment, equality, homelessness, human rights, hunger and social justice. Bandcamp Fridays may be over, but June IND will continue these efforts through July 2022.

For June 3, 2022, June IND’s Bandcamp Friday sales will support Pride Lafayette for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Pride Month.
