UPDATED STORY: Put the wind in your sails, playlist ‘Soundguy’

A new song from Lafayette Indie Rock, Folk and Pop group CoyoteBear, co-written by Chris from June IND, will be available on music streaming platforms Saturday, February 18, 2023.

Cody Hall and Chris June spent a cold, pre-lockdown winter night in February 2020 at The Arts Federation molding “Soundguy,” a new song by Hall’s band CoyoteBear. The song will be released on music streaming platforms on Saturday, February 18.

“I’ve been a fan of Cody and his work in Traveling Broke and Out of Gas and CoyoteBear for quite awhile. I felt honored to get the call to contribute,” says June. “We met up one cold night in the basement of TAF, banged on acoustic guitars and marked-up a dry erase board. I remember hitting the strings extra hard to be able to hear over The Enstrangers rehearsing in an adjacent room.”

From that night, it would be a couple of years until Hall and his CoyoteBear bandmates would record the song at Postal Recording in Indianapolis. “Soundguy” hits music streaming platforms on Saturday.
