September 2021: Remembering…
air date: Saturday, September 11th at 8:00 p.m. EDT
It’s September and time for another installment of Acoustic Blend! This month we are building on last month’s theme (back to the beginning) and taking a closer look at memory. There are a LOT of local artists this month, so let’s jump in!
We’ll lead off with a track from Malachi Jaggers’ latest release, Fearless. How we remember something often informs our present state of mind (more on that shortly). Malachi produced both of my albums, and listening to this makes me want to get back into the studio. Go ahead and put this one on repeat.
We’re featuring (remembering) a number of local artists this hour, including June IND, Joe Peters and Michael Kelsey, Lauren Grace, Michael Longcor, and yours truly. Many of us are connected through the Songwriters Association of Mid-North Indiana (SAMI). It’s an incredibly supportive community, as evidenced by June IND’s recent participation in #philanthrocky to support SAMI through streaming.
